Trial
and error troubleshooting can be costly in time
and money, that’s why so many maintenance operations
turn to FlightSafety International’s Principles of
Troubleshooting course. Because it teaches technicians
how to ask the right questions and make the right
decisions when troubleshooting an aircraft problem, this
saves time and money.
Troubleshooting
is an art that requires diagnostic and intuitive
judgment coupled with a detailed knowledge of systems.
Principles of Troubleshooting is the first and only
program that offers the basic training required to
sharpen these skills. In use at most major airlines
including American, Continental, Delta, Northwest,
Southwest and United, and regional airlines like Air
Wisconsin, American Eagle and Mesaba, more than 12,000 technicians have
participated in this training to date. It may in fact be
the most popular maintenance training program in the
world today.
Principles of Troubleshooting teaches technicians how to use their innate logic and apply it to a problem on an aircraft
system. The fundamentals of the course are so universal
that, after minor modifications, corporate training
departments outside of aviation are now using the
program. These include UAW/GM/Delphi, the US Post Office
and Siemens Building Technologies

Principles of Troubleshooting is a two-week course.
Sessions are two hours each day, Monday through Friday.
Each morning session is repeated in the afternoon
enabling participants who may miss the earlier session
to make it up later in the day. Currently class start
times are 10:00AM USCT and 1:00PM USCT.
Training
is fully synchronous with a live instructor interacting
in real time with a group of students who are at
different geographical locations. Participants can log

instructors audio in real time and even "raise a
hand" electronically to ask a questions and
interact with the class.
Principles of Troubleshooting online offers the same high quality
training material as the course that is taught at
FlightSafety Learning Centers and the same
proficiency-building exercises but with the added
convenience of location. |
